FRANKLIN ASSOCIATION.
KNOCK-OUT. I IOM PETITION'
An executive meeting of the Franklin Hockey Association was held in the Wesley Hall. Waiuku, on Wednesday night, those present being Messrs Eric Hay !chairman), W. H. Smith, L. E. Arbuekle. H. Hay, .1. Turner, N. Sedgwick. I. Rutherford, H. Coffin, and L. Robinson secretary). The manager of the representative teams submitted a report on the teams' showing in the country week tournaments.
The president, on behalf of the association. congratulated the Whiri Wliiri Club on winning the Guest Shield for 11)25. remarking that they had been runners-up in 11)23 and 11121. Therefore they thoroughly deserved their success this year, (.ongratula)ions were also tendered to Wesley College on winning the junior shield for the season.
Mr W. 11. Smith (patron) on behalf of Mrs Smith and himself, offered to donate a silver cup for a knock-out eompelilion for mens’ teams, the cup lo he played for annually. The offer was unanimously accepted, and a hr,n ly vole of thanks accorded to the donors.
