In the course of his report to the Papakura Town Board at its last meeting, the Rev. Wood said that during a discussion on “roads ’ at the Auckland Local Bodies’ Association conference, reference was made to the “misery” suffered by persons who had to motor over the Papakura section of the - Main South Road. A well known man remarked to our representative the other day that Papakura ought to obtain authority for fixing toll gates. Whatever may be thought of such a suggestion it is certain the Papakura Town Board cannot do much without Government or other outside help.', tj
