HAMILTON STOCK SALE, The Farmers’ Co-op. Auctioneering- Co., Ltd., report: At 'Hamilton on Tuesday, 1.4 th,, we had an average yarding of cattle 'and! but the sheep pens were empty. iFat cattle opened very dull but considerably improved as the saie progressed, fat cows selling exceptionally well. Steers (medium weights) mfde from . .0 to £7 12s Gel light weights 5:4 13s to £5 9s; fat cows ‘from £6 s’s to £< 10s; light weights from £3 15s to £5 10s, Store cows' soid at late rates, making from £1 Is to £1 12s 6d. Young cattle were penned in quantity, but the quality on the whole was inferior. Bidding on empty dairy heifers seemed somewhat brisker and everything ottered changed Shorthorn heifers £2 5s to £3 5s , small Jersey and '.Holstein cross £3 3s. A number of mixed an,d small lots sold at late values, A fair number of pigs were penned andl prices lor medium to heavy baconers were wetin advance and prices for medium to heavy baconers were well in advance of those received .Vast week, while weaners -and slips were slightly easier.
