TUESDAY, OCTOBER 3, 1922. RATEPAYERS’ MEETING.
TWO ■ hum. 1 lings of very great importance lo eilizens and ratepayers of this Borowgh lake place this week—one on Thursday evening at the Carnival Tea Rooms will be Ihe first meeting of the newly-formed Ratepayers’ Association, and the subject for the evening will he that of land valuation, particularly as il applies to this district.

The other, on Saturday evening, in the Oddfellows' Hall, will be the big public meeting of citizens and ratepayers. to hear Ihe Mayor deal with the many questions regarding the administration of the Borough which have agitated the minds of the ratepayers for some time. At both of these meetings big attendances are anticipated, and everyone having the interests of the town at heart should not fail to attend. The burden of taxation in this Borough has become unbearable in very many cases, and if Pukekohe is to really develop as it should il is urgently necessary that something he done In alleviate the position. Roth Hie meetings referred to can materially assist in this direction.
