ENTERTAINMENTS.

HAWAIIAN CONCERNS. The Hawaiian Entertainers traveling concert party have now visited seven centres. The two remaining concerts will be held at Puni on the 6th October, and Pukekohe on the 20th October. ,A most enthusiastic reception was accorded to, the party at each appearance, and through their energies a considerable sum has been added to the Trades’ Queen’s funds. Their programme is light anti varied, and their concerts have been most popular right through. During the first part of the programme costumes of the. Trade’s Queen's colours (green and White) are worn. An entirely new programme will be given at Pukekohe, and it is expected that the conce'rt will be one of the best ever staged here, as the Hawaiian troupe will be assisted by Miss Cora 1 Melvin, who is well known as Auckland’s sweetest soprano singer, having sung a tfifty-two concerts in the Auckland Town Hall in twelve months, and Mr Norman Day, of Taranakai (baritone), and other leading soloists, and the items by the troupe will present variety in .costume 'and style, as a very talented party has been formed. Special features will be the Rio cabaret scene, and Hawaiian songs with ukulele accompaniment. Pukekohe people should not miss the treat that is in store for them on the 20th of next month at the Strand Theatre, Pukekohe.
