BUSINESS MEETING. The Papatcenoe Town Board met September 12th, Mr Arthur W. Hall presiding. (.There were also present Messrs J. Watson, Ham McCullough, A, C. Timewell, J. Bryant and J. Death. Tiie foreman’s report was adopted on the motion of Mr Death, seconded by Mr Wajtson, Recreation Ground Lease. » It was Reported that the Cricket Club had agreed to lease the recreation ground at £3O a year rend provided the Board put the fences in order fotr sheep grazing and supplied water. Mr Timewell moved, seconded by Mr McCullough, that the chairban make any arrangements necessary for securing a water supply at al Treasonable irate, and (that Messrs Bryant, Death and Watson inspect the fences and ore,dr all the material necessary so tha#: a lease might he entered into as soon as possible.— Carried. Approval of Subdivisions. A subdivision was received, for approval from. Messrs D. Finlayson and M. Harhottle of- properties in Wallace roajd, showing a new road with sections of one quarter acre fronting upon ift. The Arrangements being in order,. Mr Death moved, seconded by Mr Bryant, that l the divisions be approved.—Calmed, The plans of the rear portion of Mr Mulcock’s property were received for approval, the areas being from to 3 actes, fronting Peveril Crescent. Mr Timewell moved, seconded by Mr Watson, that the subdivision be approved,—Caroled. Orphan Home Roading. The contractors far the new road, through ithe Orphan Home property wrote asking for the Board’s consent for the use of crushed surface stone from M) r McLaughlin’s for metalling the iroad. It) was decided to agree to its use, provided 'the Board’s en. gineer approved of the quality of J the metal. Tree Planting. jThe chairman reported that the Beautifying Sodiety had requested' the Boatd to supply materials for fencing and for tree guards. He had refused the matter of tree guards, but agtreed to the supplying of fencing material on Slfi'rley iroad. Mr Death moved, seconded by Mr McCullough, that the chairman's action be endorsed.- —Carried, Other Matters^ In, reply to a protest .regarding the proposal to build a hand room at the rear of the public hall, ft was decided to inform the complainant that his letter had been referred to the Band Committee and that his objection was noted by the Board. The chairman and Mir Timewell reported attending a meeting of the Auckland Suburban Bodies Association, at which several remits had been discussed. The (report was received. It was decided to hold a special meeting of ithe Board on September 18th to confirm the minutes of Tuesday’s meeting. Report for Public Meeting. The chairman iread a report to be presented at the public meeting called for September 18t’h dealing with the work done for the yealr ending March 31sjt. Mr Death moved, seconded] by Mr McCullough, that the repdrt be adopted, The molt ion was carried unanimously. Accounts amounting to £lls 12s 9d werekpassed for payment.
