MONTHLY MEETING OF BOARD. The monthly meeting of the. Orphan Home Trust Boa(rd was held on Tuesday, September 12th, Mr E Yates presiding- There were also present the Rev. Gordon 1 Bell, the Rev. C. A, V. Watson, Messrs C J. Tunks, Carlton Hay, iF. Mulcock, Thomas and Hallett.t

Hi was imported that tenders had been received for the roading of that part of the property at Papatoetoe which was to be sold, the successful tendere/iB being Messrs Burnside Bros. The work of forming the road would require to be completed by ithe end of the yeajr. The Meeting of Representatives. The Orphan Home Trust Board had also been represented at a meeting of representatives of Anglican o,r_ phanages and children’s homes, at which an effort! was made to secure greater efficiency and economy in the administration .apd manhat end it was realised that greater co-operation was needed and the meeting set up a representative committee to give effect to Jts suggestions.

General Business. Mr Bullen’s resignation was accepted with regret. It was decided to defer the appointment of his successor, The farm manager having given four weeks' notice of his indention to leave, it was lel|; jin the hands of the chairman of ithe Boa'rd to make arrangements for carrying on the farm.

Memorial io Service Men. On the motion of Mr Tunks it was decided to erect a brass tablet in ‘the chapel in memory of those who went to the war, their names to be inscribed upon it. The matter was left in the hands of Mr Tunks to make the necessary arrangements. Several otihar small reports were received, and a letter was received from the Education Board regarding the use of the school for State purposes.
