TOWN BOARD ELECTIONS.
TUAKAU TOWN DISTRICT., In view of the fact that the Town Board elections are rapidly approaching, interest in the various centres is growing and there is considerable speculation as to probable candidates. As (far as Tuakau is con_ cernecl it Is certain that there will be some fresh blood on 'the incoming Board, as at least four members of the present body are not seeking re-election. Among those who have intimated that they are letiring are Messrs Dynes Fu<ton (chairman), J. B. Sim. A. Medland and C. Finch. Mr Geo. S. Lapwooi has signified his intention o.f contesting ,a seat on the Board, while Messrs G Arrowsmith and W. J. Taylor have not made their intentions definite. It is rumoured that among the probable candidates are Mdssrs P. M. Keppel, W, Glasgow, J, Pirret, J, Henderson and F. Woolley.
