HOW TO SAVE £22.500,000.
A careful estimate thait rather understates the casq, shows that every year in New Zealand 7% million pounds are wasted- cn intoxicating drink. If prohibition is not carried at tthe next po(J;, this means that in the three following years, at feast £22,|SCKHOOO will be spen’t on drink. Voting prohibition will stop that, save that money for other purposes. The President of the National Association of Manufacturers in f the U.S.A. writing on March 22, said‘Tn .'the smaller cities land towns and in the couriAtrv disricts thousands of homes have been built which would not have been bui.t and millions of women /and children have been provided with food and,~,cloth?s who have suffered for these necessities if there were no Prohibition Amendment.” Prohibition is just Common-sense.
