According to Police Reports for 1921, /there were over 8800 convictions for drunkenness in New Zealand.. Ask the liquor traffic what made these cases ‘drunks’ and where did they get ilt ? Ask the liquor traffic if the arrests and convictions represent all the drunkenness in New Zealand? Ask the liquor traffic if it is true that every habitual drunkard and every casual drunkard began as a moderate? Ask the liquor traffic if intoxicating drink is solid anywhere in New Zealand without drunkenness being there too?
