EUROPEANS.
THROUGH EASTERN EYES. The impressions of a Chinese woman of the women she met in Europe and America are published in the Daily News. Of tlie American and English women she says they are good comrades of men because they have high education and are sufficiently trained as men. The Germans and Austrian women are good wives, for they are very sensible and obedient to their husbands. But they excel in another respect, that is to sav, they* are good mothers. The French and Brazilian women are good finance es because they look so gentle and nice and coquettish, but they change a great deal after they have been m arried.
The American and English women are like the lilies, for they are so pure and white ; they sacrifice themselves for tlie people and society. The Austrian and German women are like the chestnut flowers, for they have children as many as the chestnuts 'in autumn ; they sacrifice themselves for the family. The French and Brazilian women are like roses, on account oi the attractiveness ; they only sacrifice themselves for the fashion. But 1 think ail of them sacrifice themselves for their people and countries.
