MARKET REPORT. The Franklin Farmers’ Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report: At our suai weekly sale on Friday \ve had' a good sale. Pigs were entered in fair numbers, the demand being keen and good prices paid for ail, classes. Weanersl 13s to 18s, slips 20s to 235. The supply was not equail to the demand. A large quantity of sundries were listed in the back yard at mart and fetched satisfactory prices.
Poultry was entered in very heavy entries, with good prices ruling. Tens (small) Is 6d to 2s, others from 2s 6d to 3s 6d, heavy birds 4s to 4s Bd, young pullets 5s 3d to 9s 6d, roosters 3s 6d to 5s Bd, ducks 3s 7d to 5s 6d. Potatoes (local) Bs, cabbage 2s 6d to 5s dozen, onions ’2s cwt, sundry vegetables at usual rates- Lemons 8d to Is 3d dozen, apples (local) dessert (small) 4s 3d to 5s 9d, good samplfe 6s 9d to Bs, cookers Ss 6d, Southern Johnathans 9s 6d. Poor man’s oranges hard to.qudt. A large quantity of furniture and sundries was sold and realised good prices.
