THE SCHOOL AT PAERATA.
Sir,—l am an uninterested party living in your district, Ii had reason some days ago to pass through Paerata, and was surprised to see that the residents of this progressive little district were allowing their children itc- attend such a school as the one tbalt Is now there. There is* I understand, no heating appliances for the warming of the children, and I also ndticed that there! is only two small windows in the shed folr ventilation purposes ; this not light where there is a iteache.; 1 , and twenty-one 'children in such a small space. I understand hat theire is a fine buildihg—the Paerata Hall—in this district, and I am surprised to see that Ithe residents do not insist on the more suitable building ito be used as a schooil, '-Instead' of this shed. I should suggest, Mr Editor, that some of he residents should meet together and call the Education Board’s attention to this shed, and ask them to shift the teacher and her pupils to 'a more whoilesome and warmer building. Thanking you. - I am!, etc., UNINTERESTED.
