The weather was bleak and cold with a strong v/’.hd blowing, but several very interesting games were witnessed Gn the Domain on Saturday last before a very fair attendance. The principal game, Ramblers versus White Stan, was keenly contested, play being for the best part confined to forward play. Whiite Star I were weakened by a couple of their number being on the sick list. Ramblers won the toss and elected to play against the wind, and White Star pressed ha -cl for the first spell, Higginson having several difficult shots at goal that proved fruitless. Neither side scored before changing over With the wind behind them Ramblers mare several good attempts and B. Hart scored a try but failed with the kick. The bides were soon back again, and Udy obtained and dropped a neat goal, from the ruck. Just before half time was called Ramblers were awarded a free kick and W, Adams kicked a fine goal, making the score at half itme Ramblers 10. White Star 0. He again missed his kick. The game ended Ramblers 13, White Star 0. Ramblers proved superior in the back division,, there being little between either sets of forwards. Mr Pollock proved an efficient referee. City seniors won by default from Kia Ora. JUNIORS. City juniors defeated White Star on No. ground, by 12 points to 5. Mr Leighton refereed. The Ramblers-High School match very keenly contested, the latter leading 3, to nil at half time, but the heavy (blues). added nine points in the second half, the game ending Ramblers 9„ High School 3.
