AN ENJOYABLE EVENING A “Coin” evening given by Mrs B. G. Geraghty in support of her daughter’s candidature, Miss Bessie Geraghty (the Soldiers’ Queen) was held at Mrs' Geraghty’s home on Tuesday night. There was , a large attendance of friends and supporters of the. Queen, and a most enjoyable time was spent. Musical items and games were indulged in. Miss Doris Irving won the guessing competition organised, and secured a suitable prize l . As a result of the function the funds of the Soldier’s Queen .were consideri ably augmented. BOWLING GREEN. Rapid progress is being made with the construction of the Tuakau Bowling fclub’s green.. The work of laying down the green is I’ll the capable hands of Mr K. fitness, of Pukekohe.
