PAPATOETOE TOWN BOARD
BUSINESS MEETING. The Papatoetoe Town Board met on Tuesday evening last, Mr Arthur Hall presiding. There were also present : Messrs -A. U. Timewell, J. Bryant, J. Watson and Geo. Smith. Tht 1 Works Committee reported that arrangements had been made for the formation, of the footpath on Station Road West, also to curb the cess-pit at Bell’s corner, and to curb round the butcher's shop. A filling at .Mr Weston’s would also be attended to. The chairman said that there were places on the Great South Road that required backing up with scoria, and he would endeavour to arrange for a supply of scoria for that purpose. The deputation to the Electric Power Board reported that when the power from Hora Hora reached the Manukau districts —-if it was possible to bring it that far—lt would be used for Otahuhu and for districts south of Otahuhu only. It was considered desirable to find out definitely whether the power was likely to be brought as far as Papatoetoe. Approving Subdivisions. Mr A. U. Timewell took the chair during the approval! of Mr Hall’s subdivision of 21acres fronting 'Hula Road,, FI at bush Road and a third road. This was subdivided into 43 sections. Mr H. D. Spiriiey’s sub-division of 2acres into 6 sections was also approved. It bad frontages to Pah Road and WylHe Road, and it was decided to ask Mr Srfnley to round off the corner. Price and Gray’s subdivision between the station and Coronation Street was also approved. Accounts. Accounts amounting to £37 4s were passed for payment.
