PAPAKURA NOTES.
ANTECEDENT LIABILITY. At the last meeting'of the Papakura Town Board the balance sheet was presented, showing the' Board’s antecedent liability at £1832 4s 7d, which amount it was agreed to liquidate in liquidate in seven yearly instalments. The statement showed the W ater jjoan in credit £1222 5s 4d, the Road loan in credit £1075 8s 6d DANGER CO PUBLIC Reference was .made at the last meeting of the Papakura Town Board to the danger that existed at the exit from the railway station at night. For some time past the Railway Department has had vast improvements carried out, the work on which 'is still in progress. Considerable excavation work has been done, leaving the approaches to the station in a somewhat dangerous position. At night these are not sufficiently lighted, thereby causing travellers no end of inconvenience. It was decided to endeavour to get the authrities to rectify the matter.
