RE FORMATION 9F PUKEKOHE
RUGBY UNION.
A general meeting of football <v.thesiasts, numbering well over fifty, was held in the Franklin A. ar.d i. Society’s office on the Ist April, fc-r the purpose of re-forming the Pukekohe Rugby Union. A committee previously elected, reported as having received the names of over ninety members willing to play in the Union, and It was then unanimously decided to form the Union. The following were the officers elected :—Patron, the Right Hon. W. F. Massey, P.C.; president, Mr Jas. Pollock; vice-presidents, Messrs F. Perkins and Robt. Brownlee; management committee, Messrs W. Wyatt, F. Graham, J. Beatty, J. Wilson, J. Rae, E. H. Keating, Robt. Fulton, and the president as chairman; press representative Mr Grainger; selectors (seniors), Mr E. Pollock, juniors, Mr J. Patterson; auditor, Mr Littlejohn. Mr W. J. Short was j elected secretary and treasurer. Everything points to a successful season, as the Union is assured of at least four senior and four junior teams.
