DAIRY CO. AFFAIRS.

(To the Editor)

Sir, —Perhaps of a justified feeling

an<i perhaps not, meetings have been convened by the suppliers of the N.Z. Dairy Associaton, in several of our local districts, whereby strong resolutions have been! passed that such meetings move and carry a vote of no-confidence in the administration of the N.Z. Dairy Association. • Now, Sir, two such meetings were held on Saturday evening. Bth April, in the Mauku and Patumahoe districts respectively, whereby suppliers could get together and air their vfews, pass resolutions, that the administrator of the N.Z. Dairy Association, would ultimately be asked to place all their cards on the, table and explain everything in a businesslike manner. It befell our lot, however, to be present at th<? meeeting held in the Mauku School on Saturday evening, where a large audience of suppliers had gathered !to compose

one of the aforesaid meetings. Believe, 'us. Sir, it was t.o our mind nothing short of a lecture to those present by the chairman of directors explaining what is generally known. Nohirg of' a definite understanding was agreed to. and nothing new brought to light.. Altogether the meeting or lecture, however termed, was of a crisp nature, and things ran smoothly on till! about 9.30 p.m., when a motion was moved and carried (by car) to Patumahoe, enacting (there a rehearsal of what had taken place at the Mauku meeting a few minuites previously. It was moved by Mr Crigp, the.' author of the Mauku incident, seconded and carried by the meeting by, acclamation, that the confidence of the meeting was in accord with the present administration of the N.Z. Dairy Co-operative, and abhored what a few districts had

recently been, doing. All “we ask is why were no amendments called for,” a count of hands recorded, and a resolution passed in the usual way ? ’ A meeting is to take piace in Pukei'kohe on Friday, and we with others, \ consider it the bounden duty of all suppliers to roll up and discuss their troubles as a meeting, not to be caught napping and allow any one man to take the floor and by a minority get the confidence of the meeting—We are, etc., THREE SUPPLIERS.
