PUNI.

LADIES’ RETURN BALL. A RECORD SUCCESS. Undoubtedly one of the most successful balls ever held in Puni took place in the Puni Hall on Wednesday last. A strong committee worked assiduously to make the function a success, and from opinions expressed it was from every point of view the most enjoyable and successful ball yet held at Puni. There was a large attendance from surrounding districts, the hall beingwell filled!.. The floor was in', excellent condition for dancing. The interior walls were beautifully decorated with greenery and flowers, the whole presenting an attractive spectacle;. The supper was delicious, thanks to the efforts of the ladies, who. deserve great credit for the manner in which; they worked. The duties of M.C. were efficiently carried out by Mr Douglas Fallows. Excellent dance music was supplied by Miss Iris Fulton, extras being played by Mrs Gibson, Misses Gwen Fulton and Malone.
