FAREWELL TO MRS JONES.

A very enjoyable afternoon washeld in the Carnival Tea Rooms on Wednesday last, when the committee of the Plunket Society met “goodbye” to Mrs Wl T. Jones,-one of ther most popular and energetic members.

A guessing competition afforded great amusement, and was won by Mrsl.Motion. Songs rendered by Mrs Motion added greatly to the pleasure of the afternoon. After a dainty afternoon tea had been dispensed, Mrs Day, in a neat little speech, expressed the appreciation of the help that both Mr and Mrs Jones had always given in the work of the society, and the regret that was felt at their departure. On behalf of the committee she asked Mrs Jones) to accept • a’ china bowl as a token of their regard Mrs Jones suitably responded.
