MARKET REPORT.
The Franklin Farmers’ Auctioneering Company Ltd., report:—At our usual weekly sale on Friday we had good entries in all lines. Pigs sold at slightly advanced prices. Weaners from 5/6 to 7/6, good weaners 8/- to 11/-, Porkers 19/- to 25/-. Poultry came forward in heavy entries. All sold; prices showed a slight drop from previous sales. Hens 2/3 to 2/9, heavy hens 3/- to 3/6. roosters 2/D to/3/6, clucks 2/- to 2/6. Potatoes 6/-, onions 7/- cwt. Vegetables at usual prices. Fruit: We had heavy entries. Apples sold at from 4/- to 7/- bushel cases; pears 7/- to 10/-, peaches 5/to 5/9, plums 2/- to 2/6. A large quantity of apples carne forward in all kinds of boxes and all weights, realisiing from Iftd to 2d per lb. Furniture was dull of sale.
