After the toast of the King had' been honoured, the chairman complimented the Brigade upon its efficiency during the past year, and assured it that the Council would render it the best possible assistance it could in relation to the restricted finances. A lengthy toast list was honoured,, interspersed with musical items, and' medals and trophies were presented" to winners of various brigade competitions. Gilbert Memorial, Sec. Rollinson. One Man Championship, Foreman. Adams, holder of Stembridge Cup and yrnnner of Fleming Medal, second Fireman Watson.. Two Men Coupling, Firemen Watson and Adolph. Three-men Event, Sec. Rollinson,. One feature commented upon by members of the brigade was that |the Mayor was the only membeer of the Borough Council preent, not even a member of the Fire Committee responding to the invitation. This is by theBrigade, who, as volunteers, are rendering service to the town, inci&ding| the members of the Council.
