PUKEKOHE TECHNICAL HIGH SCHOOL.
ERECTION OF NEW CLASSROOMS. WORK TO COMMENCE FORTHWITH. P'JKENO CONTRACTOR HAS THE JOB. The contract for the erection of three additional temporary classrooms at the Pukekohe Technical High School has been let to Mr Irvine, a builder - , of Pokeno, and work in connection therewith will proceed forthwith. The rooms, which will be 24 fejet by 24 feet, are to be con- x structed in wood and iron They will be nicely finished, well ventilated and lighted, and therefore should be very comfortable for the scholars to carry out their studies.
This additional accommodation was necessary, in view of the fact that the present facilities were totailly inadequate, and it would have been impossible to bouse tbe pupils, who intend attending the school when it re-opens after 'the summer vacation. The present building was erected to hold a certain number, and already this number has been exceeded. It is anticipated that when 'the school re-opens in February the additional accommodation will be taxed to its utmost.
