A. AND P. SOCIETY.

(To the Editor)Sir,- —I notice your letter in the “Times” re sugg es U° ns for raising £BOO for extending Winter Show buildings. Well, I should suggest a Queen Carnival. You are going to have, I believe, district displays, and that the whole of the Franklin County wfll be interested. I sl-uld suggest that it be formed into districts ; committees formed in each district, the latter to nominate some popular lady ais their “Queen Candidate.” Concerts, dances, sports, etc., could be organised. Each vote would be worth one penny, so anyone giving £1 would mean 240 votes for 'their particular candidate, and the lady who scores the largest nu, nber of votes will be “Carnival Queen,,” and she would be duly crowned with the usual ceremonies. Trusting my suggestion will be duly considered. —I am, etc.. W. RICHINGS. Buckland, 28th November, 1921.
