PAPAKURA TOWN BOARD.
ORDINARY MEETING. The ordinary meeting of the Papa«kura Town Board was held on Monday. when /there were present Messrs S. Evans (chairman), T. D. Campbell P. J. Parker, D. Muir, J. Beams, J. R. Wilson, E. D. McLennan, and the clerk (Mil A’. L. Cooper). It was '.decided 'to serve notice on property owners to dean the creek running through Papakura Settlement. J , The Railway Department wrote in regard to the road across the railway line at the southern boundary, , signifying iffc would not make the proaches. The road was the retore closed. It was decided to communicate with the Franklin County Council with a view to aqting conjointly to bring influence to bear on the Government, through Mr Massey, member for Franklin, to prevent the closing of the road. This road was the access road between Hunua and Opaheke.—Messrs Parker and Wilson were appointed! delegates to want on the Council at its next meeting. _ _ It was agreed to erect a bathing died at Chalky Point, Messrs Camp- * bell and Wilson to supervise theerection. . ** It was reported that complaints had been made in connection with the drainage at the Casein Factory. It was decided to wnte the factory manager stating that complaints were being made, and in the opinion of /the Board the new process was not a success. , _ ... The Newmarket School Committee was granted permission to use the railway reserve for a school picnic on December 14th. ' It was decided to dispose of tn* stone crusher. Thei work on Settlement Road is be pu|t in hand shortly. The wor|t - is to be done by day labour. /'/-
