FRANKLIN WINTER SHOW.
(To the Editor)
Sir, —Would you kindly allow me space in your valuable paper to state the case re our Wiintei* Show. No doubt many of your readers are aware that we started our first Winter Show in 1920. with a floor space of about 12,000 feet. However, even in our first year,, it was quite evident that we were short of room. At present .several districts in Franklin County have expressed the wish to make exhibits of district courts, and the Winter Show Committee have approved plans to add 1 4000 feet extra floor space at a cost of £BOO Unfortunately, owing to the financial stringency, we are not able to finance through our bankers as in the past. If some scheme. As not devised in the near future, I am afraid our building plans will have to be postponed. A friend of mine has kindly offered to donate a prize of £3 3s to the person who makes the most practical suggestion for raising this £BOO, if the committee take it up and carry it to a successful conclusion. I feel sure amongst your readers there must be some with practical ideas that would be helpful to us. We should be pleased if they would! give them to us through the of your paper. Thanking you in anticipation. I am ,etc., D. R. HAMILTON. Secretary Franklin A & P. Society.
