AUCKLAND CENTRAL JERSEY CLUB.
At a meeting of the Auckland Central Jersey Cub held at Pukekohe on Saturday, 19th November, 1921, the rules for the 1922 Jersey sale were read and adopted. It was decided to have an official entry fopm for next year, and that a copy of the rules should 1 be printed on the back of it. A letter was read from Mr H. E. B. Watson, official demonstrator. stating that he would: be in Paeroa on the 7th and Bth December next, and that he would be at the cub’s service on the following week. It was decided to endeavour to hold a demonstration at Tuakau on the 14th, and at Waiuku on the 15th December.. Arrangements were left in the hands of Messrs Jos. Fulton an’d L. M. Barriball. Two new members were elected. It was Leijt with the committee to arrange Jersey classes for the Franklin Show and allot the extra prize money subscribed. The secretary reported that he had had a request from the head teacher of the Pukekohe Technical High School asking for a demonstration of a dairy cow. It was decided to ask Mr R. F.. Wilkinson to give this demonstration, and also to suggest that the pupils of the primary neighbouring schools in Sandards IV.. V., VI., be asked to attend. The re-printing of the Jersey Herd Book was discussed, and it was decided that the secretary should wriie and suggest to the Jersey Council that Volumes 1 to 5 should be reprinted and bound in one cover, also 6 to 10 should be re-printed and bound in one cover, the balance left in abeyance in the meantime, as they considered there would be sufficient stocks in hand to meet the requirements from 11 upwards. It was also a recommendation to the Jersey Council to supply cljubs with a com-, pete sot of the Herd Books free, as members considered' such an action would be in the best interests of the breed.
