BOROUGH ELECTRIC SUPPLY.
(To the Editor).
Sir, —I wish to ask your indulgence by permitting me to protest most emphatically agains,t the loss in business I am suffering owing to the positively incompetent policy of the Borough Council in administerinig the Borough Electricity Department. I am in a small way of business, and my output depends on an electric motor. Now, for weeks and weeks, ever since the first breakdown at the power house, I have been unable. to make a living because of there being such a miserable dribble of power, and frequently none at all. I was persuaded £0 invest my few pounds in motor power, and now I see myself having to sell up and look for a job. Who is to blame for this ? Get rid of them whoever ;they are. If ithe Council, put them out sudden! If any official, put him out suddener ! Why does not the Council hold an inquiry into this alleged scandal ? Are they afraid jto ! Such iniquitous sufferinig for women and children, as well as we business men, has not been inflicted on Pukekohe Pefore—not even during the war. Yours in utter despair.
