Is it not a wonderful thing how it can fit into circumstances. even the commonest things of New Zealand, “Last, Lonliest, Loveliest.” But my friend, do not cherish the’ idea that you can safely sneer either at it or its verbiage. It is never safe for the head anyway., to thrust too violently against a rock. ' Other subjects, even Robbie Burns, are more fit for criticism. All the same, does it not seem the least little bit cowardly to put your criticism into the mouth of a small bov ? The Immortals are a select bodv. and deserve more frorn us than the ignorance of such.
