SHIRLEY NURSING HOME.
(To the Editor].
Sir, —In your last issue appeared a statement to the effect that “Shirley* Nursing Home was not run so&hf, in /the interest of one medical- man. This statement, which, to my mind, is quite unnecessary, did hot crginate from the nursing staff. “Shirley”, is a private hospital, nok a nursing home, and is run on lines similar to the majority, ithat is, any medical mar. has a right to send his medical or surgical cases there, provided that* there is a bed vacant. This fact, - t think, was made plain by the sfaflF when the hospital Was opened. Regarding the report -which has upset: your correspondent, is it strange that such a report should be circulated, when, from the time tha* the hospital' was opened until the present, every case has been sent in by me and has been Under my care ? lam presuming that I am the medical man referred to.— -I afct, etc., MORGAN McSWEENEY, Edinburgh Street,* ;. • ' 29th October, 1921*
