WEDDING BELLS.
—^ BROOKS—ZINZAN. . On Monday, at St, Andrew’s Church, Pukekohe, a wedding was Celebrated between Miss Sybil Zinzan, of Mauku, and Mr Martin Brooks, of Waiau. The Rev. Mr Hewlett officiated, and the circumstances were interesting, because he had previously performed thp marriage ceremony between the bride’s father and mother.. The church, was crowded with friends and well-wishers. The brtide was given away by her father, and her two sis*ters as bridesmaids. The bride looked very charmng. in soft white satin, and, wore a beautiful Brussels lace veil, which had previously been worn by her grandmother at her mart riage.. Miss Jpyce Zinzan wure a dainty lhauve silk, and Miss Phillipa maize silk, and both looked sweet in their bridesmaid’s attire. The groomsmen were Mr Con. Brpofcs and Mr Archie‘ Batty. Ah‘ the conclusion of the cereindhy, the guests, to the number of 1 about ninety, adjourned to ;the Oddfellows’ Hall for the wedding breakfast; where everything reflected great credit on the host and hostess. The hall and tables were prettily and artistically' deeprated, 1 the prevaiiling colou'r being mauve. During the afternoon songs were rendered by Mrs W. Davies, Mrs Stanley Hill and others, and' Miss Muir entertained 'the company with shine remarkably wellrendered and amusing recitations. The usual wedding toasts were proposed and drunk with enthusiasm. At the conclusion of' the afternoon the happy pair left ‘for Wellington) were the honeymoon will be spent. The bridegroom’s gifts to the bride and bridesmaids' were 1 handsome gold bracelets; - ■ lets. ’> *■ ■■; :
