Public Notices. FRANKLIN COUNTY COUNCIL. NOTICE is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Franklin County Council, held on THURSDAY, the 18th day of August, 1921, the. following resolution was passed, and will be submitted for confirmation at the ordinary monthly meeting of the Council to be held on Thursday. the 13th day of October, 1921, at 10 a.m., at the County Office; Hall Street, Pukekohe: RESOLUTION. “In exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 168 of the “Counties Act, 1920,” the Franklin County Council, on the petition of a majority of the ratepayers of the District hereinafter mentioned, resolves and declares, by way of Special Order, as follows: — 1. The part of the County of Franklin described in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a District for the purpose of the construction of drainage works therein. • 2 The name of the said District shall be the “Pukekohe Drainage District.” 3 This Special Order shall take effect on the 13th day of October, 1921.” SCHEDULE.
All that area in the Auckland Land District, situated in Drury Survey District, bounded towards the northwest, by the road forming the northwestern boundaries of Sections Nos. 62. 61. and 60, Parish of Pukekohe, from the westernmost corner of Section 62 aforesaid to the northernmost corner of Section No. 60. Thence by a right line across the said road to the north-eastern corner of section No. 59; thence by the production in a north-easterly direction of the north-western side of the road forming the north western boundary of the said section No. 60 for a distance of 28 chains; thence towards the north by a right line running parallel to the road forming the northern boundaries of Sections Nos. 64. 68, 69, and 71 for a distance of 42 chains; thence towards the east by a right line at a right angle with the last-mentioned boundary line to the southern side of the road forming the northern boundary of the said section No. 71; thence again to the south by the last mentioned road to the western-most corner of the said Section No. 71; thence again towards the east by Sections Nos. 71, 72, and 73, Parish of Pukekohe, and the western boundary line of the lastmentioned section producedto the southern side of the road forming the southern boundary of the said Section No 73, thence again towards the north generally by the , last mentioned road and the road forming the northern boundaries of allotments Nos. 293, 287, 139 and 132, Section No. 2, Pukekohe Settlement; thence again towards the east by the fbad forming the eastern boundary of Allotment No. 132, to the Pukekohe Borough Boundary at the southeastern corner of said allotment No 132 ; thence by the said Pukekohe Borough Boundary towards the south, east and south-east to the eastern most corner of Allotment 78, Parish of Pukekohe ; thence by the road forming the south-eastern boundaries of said Section No 78, Parish of Pukekohe, and Allotment No 246 Section No. 2 Pukekohe, Settlement and thence towards the south-west generally by Allotments Nos 247 and 248, Section No. 2. aforesaid, and Allotment No. 74, Section No. 3, the road forming the north-western boundary of Allotment No. 248 and the road forming the southwestern boundaries of Allotments Nos. 54. 6.2* and 61, Section No. 3, Pukekohe Settlement, and the road forming the south-western boundary of Section No. 62, Parish of Pukekohe, to the road forming the north-western boundary of the last-mentioned section, the place of commencement.
