MARKET REPORT. The Franklin Farmers’ Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report: — “•At our usual weekly sale ofi Fr.'day, v/e had a heavy yarding of pigs, with prices quite equal to last week. VVeaners (small) from 11s to 17s, good weaners 20s to 275, sips 32s to 40s, stores £2 to £2 15s. At the Jtfart same day we had heavy entries of sundries, in back yard, which sold at satisfactory prees. Moultry entered in average quantities, but short of requirements and sold: Hens 4s to 4s 9d, roosters 4s 6d to 6s, ducks (average price) os 3d. Potatoes (Southern; 7s per cwt., cabbage 2s 6d to 4s ■ per dozen, caulflowers 3s to 12s per dozen, parsnips and carrots 6s 6d cwt. Fruit in small quantities and of poor quality. Apples realised 3s 6d for 401 b ; lemons up to Is per dozen. Swedes (the demand was dull) sold at about 3s cwt. Sundry vegetables realised average pric es. ’
Messrs Brassey and Co. report: — The sale of pedigree and pure-bred pics at last Friday’s sale were all quitted at good prices. Furnture changed hands in large quantities at top prices. Poultry 2s to 7s 6d. Produce : Cabbages Is 6d per dozen to 4s 6d dozen, cauliflower 6d to Is 6d each, other vegetables at ruling prices. 1 4-h.p. engine £l2, Oriop range £4, 1 hack £ll 10s.
