ELECTRIC LIGHTING PROPOSALS.
PRELIMINARIES CONSIDERED.
Electric lighting propsals were dis- , cussed at a recent meeting, of the Tam aid West Road Board. Mr S. P. Tilkington presided, and there were also present Messrs J. W. Andrew, L. J. Keys, J. C. Masefield, and W. H. Reynolds. . Advice was received from the Public Works Department stating that they had complied with the request of the Board in reference to clause 4 of the license, and the master was now complete. Messrs Brown and ■Forsythe reported having inspected Messrs John Burns and Company’s general scheme of reticulation, and forwarded a schedule with their marks of approval, the street bracket
alone being excepted, which they
considered coukl be improved upon in design. Th engineers also reported that in the agreement between the Auckland City Council and other suburban local bodies, provision had been made for the Tamaki West Road district joining the major scheme with mutual consent, and this action had been endorsed by the Minister of Public Works, thfe Hon. J. G. Coates.
