Energetic, efficient afid popular officers'for various organisations are difficult to unealth, but the rukeknhe Bowling Club has officers who fill C their ' respective pests _ with credit. The secretary, Mr G. GLittlejohn, was elected to the position at the ninth annual . meeting, and puring last season he proved hi ms if a most energetic, efficient ancGpoouiar - official. Mr Littlejohn, who is a busy man in his capacity as manager of the National Bank of New Zealand, is always at his post on the green after bis day s work is completed in connection with the welfare of the Club, m collecting subscription fees for competitions and numerous other things, all of which occupies considerable time. His work last year was quite new, bu-,_ it did net take long for him to get- into his stride, and it was mainly due to his enterprise ithat the season was so successful. His efforts were erectly appreciated bx the executive and members .of the Club. An the las t meeting of the Club, Mr James Roulston. president, said tire Club was indebted to Mr Littlejohn for the work he had done last year, which was performed in a very creditable manner indeed, and on behalf of the executive he presented him with a pair of silver vases in recognition of his valuable services. The recipient suitably responded, adding that he would in the future, as in the past, do all in his power to further the interests of the club.
