PAPATOETOE TOWN BOARD

The Papatoetoe Town Board met on Monday evening, July 25, Mr Arthur W. Hall presiding. There were also present: Messrs'J. Bryant, G. Smith, J. Watson, A.U. Timewell, J. Death and C. McCullough. The Eden-Manukau electric scheme was considered and adopted, and it was decided that Mr Watson represent the Town Board at the meeting held in the Chamber of Commerce last Tuesday evening.

The clerk reported that the prompt payment of rates in several instances had improved the outlook financially to an appreciable extent. The foreman reported satisfactory progress with works in hand, though the weather conditions had not been good during the last fortnight. Accounts amounting to £53 19s were passed for payment.
