A LIGHT BRAINED TRICK.

I Sir, —Some person or persons recently gathered up twenty or more pieces of stone of 6in in diameter or larger and placed them in three rows across a certain part-'of Queen Street and labelled one of the pieces with my name. None of the stone in question had been used by the borough workmen for repairs. Possibly the gravity of the action was not realised at the time it was done. I donot wish to see the offenders brought to book in this instance, but any .further such action will lead to substantial .reward being offered for information that will lead to the conviction of the offenders.—l am, etc,

JOHN ROUTLY.
