The Tuakau third grade team, which includes five school boys defeated Pukekohe Technical High School at Tuakau by 18 points to 3, but in the return match at Pukekohe the High School won by 9 points to 0.
The Tuakau school boys play very fine football, and included in their ranks are some promising footballers.
A very fine school boys’ representative team could be obtained'from the various schools, quite good enough to meet some of the Auckland teams. Football among the schools should be encouraged more than is the case at present, a§ it is from the school boys that players for the upper grades are obtained. We understand that the se» * etary of the Franklin Rugby Union is taking steps with a view of pitting a Franklin schoolboys’ rep. team against an Auckland schoolboys’ rep. team, and all school teachers interested should get in touch with him as soon as possible.
