GOLF NOTES.

Wet and cold weather conditions continued over the week-end and the golf match to qualify for the Brosnahan Spoons was played over a heavy course. Keen competition was displayed nevertheless and the qualifying cards include several of the members of junior experience.
A fresh record for the course of nine holes was put up by Mr Brosnahan in his second round by completing the course in 40. Added interest in golf has been moused in the Franklin bounty by the appointing of committees in the Pokekobe, Papakura and Waiuku, Golf Clubs to make arrangements to hold z county championship meeting for ladies and gentlemen. In conjunction with, the single championships, club teams r . presenting each of the above ‘ will compete for the Franklin Cup district championship. In
.. nsequence of these fixtures; ahead much interest is being token in the match set down for next Saturday ort the Pukekohe links between Papakura and the local club.
The team to play against the .Papakura Golf Club on Saturday afternoon will be chosen from the following:— Ladies: Mrs Campbell Smith, Mrs Bayly, Mrs Motion, Miss Mrs Johns,).
