GOLF NOTES.
CORONATION MEDAL. . MISS PAYTON’S PRIZE. Unfortunately weather conditions were very adverse to good play when members of the Auckland Ladies’ Golf Club met at the Middlemdre links, Mangere, to contest the Coro-, nation medal and Miss M. Payton’s prize. Playing for the Coronation medal, the best cards returned were: —Miss K. Holmes, 96 gross,, 17 handicap—79 net; MisS Malison, 96, 10 —86; Miss M. Payton, 91,' 3, 88. ' • In ,the competition for Miss Payton’s prize, play resulted as follows: Miss B. Wilson won by default, Miss M.. Clark beat Mrs Ramsay 4 up and 2 to play; Miss D. Foster beat Mrs Wilson 8 up and 7 to play, Mrs Macindoe beat Miss B. Sharman* 3 up and 2 to play, Mrs Fenton and Mrs Louisson both had byes.
