How she does this and : what it is she desires, is graphically tc-ld in the picture, while the vivaci- ( ous and winsome charm of the young - actress, so dear to those who know her, shimmers rainbow-like through the whole atmosphere of the clever plot. It is a story of an alluring girl told in a manner full of amusing and tender situatioins.
THURSDAY NEXT,
“THE FIGHTING SHEPHERDESS,” AND A CHARLIE CHAPLIN COMEDY.
Uncommonly , rich in exciting episodes. “The Fighting Shepherdess”
piesents primitive action that is in perfect harmony with the locale of the story. The trials and tribulations that Anita Stewart, in the title role, goes through, would overwhelm any ordinary girl—but this girl is no usual everyday character, and determination to succeed against all odds carries her through a victory in the end. The picture might well be reckoned among, the principal film achievements of the year.—it has everything that gees to tnake a screen success. The story and*re’o exactly suit Anita Stewart, who ssavs something different in this picture, and is ev-r'reiy successful. Supporting this is a Charlie Chaplin comedy.
