PUKEKOHE BEAUTY SPOT.
THE BOWLING , GREEN. DECENT FOOTPATH WANTED.. At last night’s meeting of the Borough Council, Messrs Frank Perkins and A- F. Brown, on behalf of the Pukekohe Bowling Club, waited on. the Council and requested that a footpath be formed along the front of the Club’s property in 'Roulstoa Avenue, also that the water tables, be cleaned but. The Bowling Club was endeavouring to make the green a beauty* spot of Pukekohe. Visitors, of -a class, spent a good deal of their time on the greeti and they wanted to- make the place attractable and create a good impression of Puketoym, The Mayor stated that the had decided to make a footpath rqr Ijo chains from Hall Street, He moved that the matter be referred to the Works Committee with power to act. .
The motion was carried Cr. Patter* pen dissenting, stating that other people -who wanted a path could not get it.
