Some 10,000 boxes of butter salvaged' from the" fire at Patea freezing works were disposed of by the underwriters at what is consideied satisfactory prices. The greater portion of the buter sold brought Id to 2d per lb under the market rate. Much of it was disposed of In the South Island at Is 9Mel per lb.
