TOWN IMPROVEMENT.
The 1 letter appearing in our correspondence columns to-day dealing with town expansion and beautifying should arouse interest on this important subject. Pukekohe, as a Borough, offers a virgin field for the proposed societies. The incubation of civic pride, which embraces all the sub jets dealt with by our correspondent, is the greatest force for progress and prosperity which we know. The subject is one which this paper is very anxious to foster, and we have no hesitation in throwing our columns open for the fullest discussion on these matters. We hope that readers will take the opportunity of thoroughly traversing the various phases of this most entrancing and vital subject. There is no doubt that a society on the lines dealt with could transform Pukekohe and make it a pleasure to live in, and a thing of beauty and a joy for ever.
