DESIGN APPROVED, Some fifty subscribers to the Papa. toe too district war memorial met in the local town hall last Fiiday evening to consider the report of the committee set up to go into the question of designs and prices of the “Gates of Honour”, decided upon at the last meeting of subscribers held on April S. Four subscribers offered their services to canvass the district for subscriptions, and were formed into a committee to make the necessary arrangements. Votes of thanks were accorded Messrs Burnside Bros, for their offer, and Mr Larsen for the design he submitted and his work in connection with obtaining estimates.
