AUCKLAND 2 V. FRANKLIN 1. On People’s Day of the Franklin A. and P. Society’s Winter Show, the Auckland junior representative hockey team journeyed to Pukekohe to try conclusions with the Franklin representatives. Right from the commencement both teams set up vigorous attacks and the game developed into a very fast and exciting exhibition and very even from a spectator's point of view. Franklin, through the agency of Gordon Flavell, scored first,, but towards the close of the first spell Auckland evened up making the scores at half time: Franklin .. .. 1 Auckland 1 The pace became very hot in the second half and throughout* was even." Just on the call of time the visitors prut in some splendid work near the" Franklin goal and crowned their efforts with the winning goal. The game ended: Auckland „. <. .. 2 Franklin ~ .. .. 1 Mr V.
