PAPAKURA TOWN BOARD.
ORDINARY MEETING. The ordinary meeting of the Papakura Town Board was held on Monday evening, when there were present: Messrs S. Evans (chairman), E.D. McLennan, T. D. Campbell, J. Beams, Weir and the clerk (Mr A. L. Cooper). Application Granted. An application to use the railway reserve for football purposes was received from the Papakura Football Club. —Granted. Mr Rea Resigns. As a protest against the action of the Board in completing the exchange with Mr Percy Holt without any reference to the ratepayers of Papakora, Mr J. Rea tendered his resignation as a member of the Board. — The resignation was accepted. My Holt’s Offer. The matter of completing arrangements as regards Mr Percy Holt’s offer of exchange was deferred until next meeting. Supply of Shell. The clerk was instructed to secure a supply of shell for footpaths. Dominion Road. On the motion of Mr Campbell it was decided to commence work on Dominion road as soon as possible. It was pointed out that the road was in a very bad condition and urgently needed attention. Casein Factory Drain. | It was reported that the drain leading from the casein factory was again in a very bad condition. It was decided to write the authorities urging them to have the matter attended to at once.
