THE WINTER SHOW.
ENTRIES CLOSE TO-MORROW. The great event for Franklin and surrounding districts is the huge Winter Show which is to be held on the 18th, 19th, 20th and 21st of this month in the show buildings at Pukekohe. The fact that' this Winter Show is steadily growing in importance is one which the district should be very proud of indeed.
Entries close to-morrow and everyone should do their best to facilitate the work of the officials by entering immediately. The delay in entering causes a great deal of trouble to the officials concerned and retards the printing of the schedule very considerably.
So far indications point to there being record entries all round and the most successful winter show of the district. The field covered is very wide. It includes poultry, dogs, industries, competitions such as dancing, physical drill, elocution, etc. Such a show as this cannot fail to be of immense district benefit and it is to be hoped that each, succeedihg Winter Show will grow ’in size and importance as an indication of the growth and development of Franklin.
