PUBLIC CONVENIENCES.
(To the Editor)
Sir, —Now that: the elections are over, I would like to urge the immediate erection of a public convenience. Visitors to this up-to-date borough are astounded, upon inquiry, at being directed to the hotel or boardinghouse conveniences. This is a downright shame and.' as one interested, I protest against the public use of our conveniences made by the Pukekohe Borough Council in this way. Every town in New Zealand of the size of this one has small up-to-date buildings at central localities, and thus prevents a very real nuisance to a few and relieves them of an unjust expense and penalty,— I am, etc.. A LONG SUFFERER.
